About God and the Garden…

In my two years blogging on WordPress my love for the garden has hardly been a secret. I can relate just about anything to something that grows or blooms.

Left to my solitude among flowers and thorns I can think and hear clearly. The garden gives me a fresh perspective on things that merely appear to be life or death matters.

In the presence of God’s creatures I can relax and reflect.

I’ve probably learned more about God, truly heard Him and worshiped not in the sanctuary but under His sky. God reveals seasons and cycles, death and resurrection and so much more when my hands connect with His earth. There are lessons taught and hope renewed when I take time to observe God’s gifts all around me.

My admiration of nature has stirred a pursuit of photography. Amateur that I am, I attempt to capture seasonal beauty. What I lack in skill, I’ve definitely poured into passion. My hobby obsession provides an opportunity to tune out the world and tune into God.

Some of the most pivotal moments in the Bible occurred in a garden.

Jesus prayed and was betrayed in the Garden of Gethsemane

Jesus was buried and resurrected in a garden.

God spoke to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden

And God speaks to us when we choose to listen as well.

I hope the images and words found here are uplifting, enlightening or simply brighten your day. Thanks so much for stopping by. In whatever you do, take time to relax and enjoy the view.

B Blessed!
