Painful, but necessary.
My Crepe Myrtles (looking more like Crepe Murdered) have been harshly pruned and stripped bare. Still, their temporary façade will become a brief memory once they begin to bud in the spring and bloom once more this summer.
There are times in life when we are pruned as well.
As we are cut back it feels unbearable. We often mourn our losses.
Yet, the beauty and the fruit to follow is very much worth the pain it takes to get us there.
Take heart. The pain of pruning and barren winters never last forever.
“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.” John 15:1-2 NKJV
Hi Lilka! Hope all is well with you and your wonderful family…Guess I just missed this one as I strolled through your garden…Lol! I was going to take one of your pictures here and use it in a re-post if you don’t mind…

I’m sad to hear of trouble with you and your family, Lilka. You are such a wonderful and God-fearing person. That is right, God is working in your life. See what He does as you walk closer to Him!
